[chifa] Advocacy on Children and War

The International Society for Social Pediatrics & Child Health (ISSOP), the International Pediatric Association (IPA) and the International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect (ISPCAN) have been allies working in the field on prevention and amelioration of child abuse, neglect and exploitation for the past few years. We have had direct and indirect relationships coordinating and supporting regional and global learning events over the years with mutual participation in various events. There are clearly shared visions and goals about ending violence against children. This is an early advocacy effort that has come out of this partnership. The IPA has written an open letter to the Lancet and to the Secretary General UN to Protect Children Of War. IPA has started a campaign #ProtectChildrenOfWar. 1) Please tweet in support of campaign using Hashtag #ProtectChildrenOfWar 2) Please request Key Opinion Leaders, Organizations and your Society members to support IPA campaign #ProtectChildrenOfWar Please find below some sample tweets with link to letter: Join the IPA campaign #ProtectChildrenOf War IPA open letter to Lancet for Secretary General UN #ProtectChildrenOfWar Dr Shanti Raman, MBBS, MAE, PhD, FRACP Community Paediatrician for Child Protection | Senior Staff Specialist Department of Community Paediatrics|South Western Sydney Local Health District Consultant Community Paediatrician, Maari Ma Health Aboriginal Corporation Broken Hill Senior Lecturer University of New South Wales and University of Sydney Health Services Building Level...
